They evolved into the Erideans and transferred to a more hospitable planet (for them) possibly with the help of another race of ETs who wanted slaves but otherwise had no interest in Earth or mind control.
Couldn't agree more. I was recently reminded of a cartoon where the bad guys used electronic devices attached to the dinosaur's brains to enslave them being used as powerfull weapons of warfare - can't quite put my thumb on the name at the moment.
